We visited Casale della nonna for a period of 2 weeks and couldn't be happier with our choice. Antonella was a great host and made our stay was very enjoyable. She made sure everything was prepared on our arrival and we could easily reach her when we had any questions. Yes, there are 320 steps that you need to take every time you wanna go ''home'' and at time's it's very difficult. But at the end it's all worth it. The view from the veranda is magnificent, there are grapes hanging over your head, lemon trees around the corner in the garden and Limoncello bottle on your table.. perfect. The rooms are very clean and the kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities. Antonella's father Delio is a great guy and you will see him often as he takes care of the lemon garden and other plants around Casale. He is also the chef during Italian-night, making traditional Italian pizza's and other dishes right on the veranda. Casale is located within 15 minutes walking from the beach, which you can reach by following one of the two main roads. On this you can find all kind of little shops, supermarket, grocery (very cheap), Bakery ('Triest' on the main shopping road, with amazing italian cookies),ect. Maiori itself is the perfect place for visiting rest of Amalfi coast (as it's not as touristy as Positano and Amalfi). There are daily boat trips to Capri and boat/bus/taxi to the rest of the locations. Tips: Tore Normana's private beach/cave, Ravello with beautiful villa's and amazing views.
